Disk info from EtreCheck?

Question

I just did an EtreCheck on my Mid 2011 27 inch Imac and got this message from the results:Disk Information: (What does this mean?)    ST31000528AS disk0 : (1 TB) (Rotational)        EFI (disk0s1) &lt;not mounted&gt; : 210 MB         Macintosh HD (disk0s2) / : 999.35 GB (502.83 GB free) - 344 errors        Recovery HD (disk0s3) &lt;not mounted&gt;  [Recovery]: 650 MB Is it worth it doing a Disk Utility or just go ahead and buy the SSD I always wanted to get?Had this machine for over four years, pushed the HD hard with tons of Bit torrent files (over 5 terra bites) all stored on external HDs (All legal jam band music live recordings). I upgraded the RAM to 16 and helped a little but it is still slow.

With that many errors the disk drive is probably on it last legs and is going to fail pretty soon.Is everything on the disk drive backed up?

Why don&#x27;t you just post the complete EtreCheck report.It will be easier to analyze the whole report rather then individual lines like this.

You can try to repair the errors using Disk utility, but I doubt it&#x27;ll work as there are so many of them.Also, delete all the items in your Login items. You can launch them when you actually need them. That&#x27;ll speed up the boot up.However, if you get a new hard drive, may I suggest staying away from the type of torrent sites which offer content that costs money elsewhere. You rarely get anything that is truly free - those sites usually include some unwanted stuff.

I just did the Verify disk in disk utility and it said no errors? I also did repair permissions and the imac appears a bit faster. Any thoughts?

And after doing the disk utility this is the next read out from EtreCheck:It has dropped from over 300 errors on the disk to 12 errors.Thoughts? Replace the hard disk drive with the SSD you were always planning to get.Attempting to "repair" it with Disk Utility or anything else will be a waste of time. It has failed.
