Which plugin did you just purchase?

Which other 3rd party plugins are crashing validation?

Are you using 32Lives or any other plugin wrapper such as Novations Automap?

No problems here with any 3rd party plugin..... using OS X 10.10.5 and LPX 10.2 on any of my testbed setups so the problem is likely to be specific to your system.

well I've purchase Miroslav from IK multimedia but I've to say

- Everything worked fine one week ago, now all my AU are refused by LP 9, I've many AU which work perfectly with Ableton Live 9

- As I've made many test, my problem is with AUVALTOOL and I'd like to know how can I repair this sub-program. I tried to cancel LP9 and reinstall it but it remains the same

- As I use 32 lives, I've tried in both mode (32 bits and 64 bits) but I've the same bug

- As you said, I think it's specific to my system but I'd like to know how can I fix AUVALTOOL

thx for your help

As you are running LP9 you don't need 32Lives.... because LP9 (in 64bit mode) can run both the older 32bit and the newer 64bit Audio Unit (AU) plugins already...

32Lives is mainly for Logic Pro X users who want to use older 32bit AU plugins that LPX does not support any longer

So,

Quit LP9

Launch 32Lives

Select and then Unwrap all the plugins

Quit 32Lives

Restart your Mac

Launch Logic Pro 9 in 32bit Mode (To scan your 32bit Plugins)

Quit Logic Pro 9 once it has finished scanning

Launch Logic Pro 9 in 64bit mode i(If you also use some 64bit AU plugins)

LP9 will then scan for 64bit AU plugins

You should then be fine...

How to switch between 32 and 64bit modes in Logic?

Logic Pro and MainStage 64-bit mode FAQ - Apple Support

Note: For anyone using an illegal version of 32Lives, it time bombs out every so often causing plugins to no longer work.

Sep 5, 2015 8:58 AM in response to smalllotus

Its not likely to be a Logic related bug but something specific to your system and the plugins you are using.....

Logic Pro, Logic Express, MainStage: Disable or remove Audio Unit plug-ins to troubleshoot issues - Apple Support

so if that doesn't help... reporting it to Apple, probably won't achieve much but if you wish to do so then use this form...

https://www.apple.com/feedback/logic-pro.html

In the meantime, Launch Logic Pro and then run the free Etrecheck....

http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck

Post up the report Etrecheck generates here and when I get back after work tonight, Ill take a look/see and maybe something there will provide a clue as to what your real problem is.... (or maybe one of the other regulars here will do much the same thing for you...)

Cheers..

Well, Im not sure where to start as there are so many things you have installed that could be the causes of your issues....

Here is a few to begin with.....

[engagé] com.Cycling74.driver.Soundflower (1.6.6 - SDK 10.6) [Cliquer pour l’aide]

Soundflower can cause all kinds of audio related problems when used with Logic Pro X....

[engagé] com.waves.driver.soundgrid (2.0.0) [Cliquer pour l’aide]

Not sure why you would have Soundgrid installed as you don't appear to be using multiple Macs with shared loading setup....but again, that can lead to all kinds of odd problems...

[engagé] tc.tctechnologies.driver.Saffire (4.1.4 18735 - SDK 10.6) [Cliquer pour l’aide]

It looks like you haven't updated your Saffire drivers in a while.. Make sure you are running the ones that are specifically for 10.9 and 10.10... (unless for some reason you are running newer beta ones)

Here is the link to the drivers..

http://us.focusrite.com/downloads?product=Saffire+PRO+14

Note: This thread...

Kernel Panic late 2012 27in iMac?

..is from someone else who is using the same TC version of the drivers you are using instead of the Focusrite version.. No idea where you got those drivers from....

[engagé] com.hzsystems.terminus.driver (4) [Cliquer pour l’aide]

Installed by Spindoctor and known to cause problems and general system instability

[en marche] com.iobit.AMCDaemon.plist [Cliquer pour l’aide]

and...

[en marche] com.iobit.MacBoosterMini.plist [Cliquer pour l’aide]

Macbooster is a waste of time and can cause more problems than it's worth...

[engagé] com.macpaw.CleanMyMac3.Scheduler.plist [Cliquer pour l’aide]

CleanMyMac or any of these so called Cache Cleaners often cause more problems than they are wroth too.. OS X can quite happily clean up caches itself... and should be left alone to do so properly

Avid CoreAudio : Version : 10.3.3.106 - SDK 10.6 [Cliquer pour l’aide]

if you are not using Avid stuff get rid of this as again, it can interfere with proper Audio operation on your Mac... and lead to CoreAudio instability...

Note: Personally I wouldn't install any Avid software (Pro Tools for example) on my main Mac system drive .... Too many issues and conflicts... If I had to use PT then I would create an external Bootable system disk and install PT on that....

Paragon NTFS for Mac ® OS X [Cliquer pour l’aide]

Paragon NTFS can be a little flaky at times and again, I wouldn't install it on any of my systems..

Same applies to VMWare (Fusion)...

If I really needed Windows.. I would use Bootcamp and keep it completely separate and away from my main System Disk...

10% Google Chrome Helper(4)

6% Google Chrome

Finally for now at least...

Chrome tends to use a heavy amount of system resource and CPU... and I don't see any real benefits using it on a Mac to be honest. Again, personally I use just Safari and never had any issues in doing so....

Basically you have a load of really flaky stuff on your Mac that i would advise you delete and clean up.... because any/some/all of it could easily be at the root of your problems...

If you need to use any of that stuff, again, make a bootable external System disk and boot to that when you need such things.. and boot to your clean System disk when you want to use Logic Pro...

Important: Please do not take all the above as personal criticism pointed directly at you.. It's not! It is just intended to be helpful and direct so there are no misunderstandings. It's also just my personal opinion so bear that in mind too 🙂

Cheers..

Use FindAnyFile to search for the files you want to remove

http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile/

However, make sure you have a fully working backup before you delete anything.... so if you do something wrong you can restore from that backup and fix any issue caused by deleting the wrong file..

and then....

For things you want to delete, search google for how to uninstall <the name of the app> so you can remove the correctly.... and fully.

Example: Searching Google for How to uninstall CleanMyMac3 will find this link for you.....
