So I accidently dropped my iPhone 5s in my cup of coffee at work today 😟. The HOME Button is still working but the screen isn't responding to touch so I couldnt turn it off. It's that bad you can see the outline of coffee stains through the screen. Repairable? Warranty? 😢

Unfortunately iPhone is not coffeeproof. You are lucky one if it still works after contact with water. Usually phones and water do not mix and water damage is not covered by warranty. Corrosion has already started. You should schedule a genius appointment at the Apple Store to appraise the level of damages. They will offer you the best solution.
As already mentioned, liquid damage is not covered by Apple's warranty. But you still have the option to pay the Out-of-Warranty fee, by doing that you'll get a new device.

If your repair isn’t covered by Apple’s One Year Limited Warranty, AppleCare+, or AppleCare Protection Plan, your iPhone might be eligible for out-of-warranty service. For example, liquid damage isn’t covered by warranty but might be eligible for out-of-warranty service. I recently got mine in sea water 😟. I got it repaired for 118 € (131 dollars) the screen had some weird colours but still working and the front cam didnt work. They replaced the lcd and the flex cable thats connected to the camera, after opening it and let it dry.
