I have an Imac 10.10.4. I upgraded to Yoshimite operating system. It was very slow so I inserted new RAM. 4GB (2 x2GB).
It was working until I was tried to install Spotify. The computer froze. I forced shut down and restarted. However it sats but I head beep beep beep and will go no further. Black screen

This indicates a problem with the RAM.
Turn the computer off, and verify that the RAM is properly seated. Verify that it the correct spec for your model.
Thank you. Yes I checked the RAM twice and it is slotted in correctly and it is the correct specification for the model. The beeping still continues. It is continuously beeping every 6-7 seconds. It is on but black screen. Any other ideas?
