It often takes multiple try to delete cookies from a specific web site. Now I was unable to remove a cookie at all. Many websites can be removed with one click. How do I remove unwanted cookies, preferably with one click?

I had already had Develop in the Safari menu. So I did click on "Empty Caches" as you instructed.

Yesterday, I was able to remove the cookies by clearing all history from Safari.

Your step 2 was exactly what I had been trying to do but it would not work. Clicking on a specific cookie and then clicking on "Remove" did not work. I tried multiple times.

But I do want to keep the cookies for some sites. I do not want to have to clear all cookies. So how do I clear only the cookies from web sites that I do not want to keep?

Well I have been able to "Remove" all cookies that I want to delete. But it it is still taking two tries for a number of sites to actually get them deleted. But I can get them removed, so that is progress. I can deal with removing them twice. I will let you know if the situation arises where I am unable to actually remove the cookie.

Thanks for you help.

Try step 1 first. If this doesn't help, try step 2.

1. Delete Caches.db

Close all windows and quit all applications.

Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

Select "Library" from the dropdown.

Library > Caches > com.apple.Safari > Caches.db

Right click the Caches.db file and select "Move To Trash.

Close windows and relaunch Safari.

2. Delete com.apple.Safari.plist file and test.

Empty the Trash.

Quit all applications.

Hold the option key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

Select "Library" from the drop down.

Library > Preferences > com.apple.Safari.plist

Right click on it and select "Move it to Trash".

Restart. Relaunch Safari and test.

If this doesn’t help, “Put Back” the com.apple.Safari.plist

Right click on the Trash icon in the Dock and select “Open”.

Right click on the com.apple.Safari.plist and select “Put Back”.

According to your saying, I know you want to remove cookies with one click on Safari. I know the method of deleting cookies from Safari, because I have met this trouble before. Here is the steps as below, if you still solve this problem, you can try it.

Step 1: Open Safari, and click Safari then Preferences. Click on 'Privacy.'

Step 2: Click on 'Details', you will see a lit of websites that store cookies. You can remove single sites by clicking the 'Remove' button and selecting a site. If you want clear all cookies, click 'Remove All.'

Step 3: When you have finished removing sites, click 'Done.'
