How can I view the files backed up on my Seagate Backup Plus 3TB for Macs? I called Seagate and they told me that Apple has an application to view backed up files, so here I am inquiring. Any help is appreciated!

What "app" are you using for backup?

The app Seagate directs you to is Time Machine, as you said. I backed up my computer, I just don't know how to view the backed up files.
You can view then in Finder. Just go to the Time Machine icon in upper menu bar and then click on Enter Time Machine. The find the file yo want to view.right click on the file and select Open to view
Unfortunately, I'm still stuck. I found Time Machine among my apps in Finder, but there wasn't an option to "enter time machine." Perhaps this is because the app isn't on my upper menu bar.

If you click on the TM app in your Applications folder you get the same as if you click on enter TM form the menu bar.
In the menu bar TM is a clock face icon with arow in counter cockwise direct.
Yuu can show it in the menu bar by going to System Preferences>Time Machine and checking the box that says Show Time Machine in menu bar.
I'm able to enter Time Machine now. However, I'm having trouble viewing photos. I'd like to view a few at random to verify that my computer was properly backed up. How do I do this?
