My I pad is locked down how do I get it un locked

The first thing that I would try is a forced restart. To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If that fails, try putting the iPad into recovery mode to restore it.

You should explain what you mean by locked down. Is it activation locked or did you forget the passcode? If you forget the passcode or it is otherwise disabled, look here.

while using "find my i pad" the iPad locked down and shows only apple logo and will not turn off. how do i unlock it?
