When I empty trash- it says I don't have permission to access some items

I am trying to delete all pictures off my MS-DOS (FAT32) memory card. I moved all pictures into my trash. I thought this deleted everything, but when I put the memory stick back in my camera, it said I do not have sufficient space. So I placed my memory card back in my computer and tried to empty trash and it is not letting me. Please help!!! So confused..

If you have copied all of the photos off of the memory card, reformat it in your camera. That will clear everything off of it.

It is recommended that the memory cards be formatted in the camera and not the computer. There is less likelihood of compatibility problems when the media cards are formatted in the camera rather then the computer.
