I have a dead iPad which I'm trying to restore using iTunes however I repetedly get error 4005

Hi ,

I'm trying to update an iPad 4th generation via DFU through iTunes the iPad is totally dead and won't even switch on.

I am able to get iTunes to recognise that it's connected. I've checked that the iPad is ok to update and ready to restore.

On top of iTunes I see extracting software etc. and then iTunes is restoring the software on this iPad the message then says waiting for iPad.

After a while it times out with the "iPad could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4005) has anyone ever got over this problem or will it need a complete new motherboard?

iPad Air, iOS 8.4.1, Error 4005
