How do I find my latest photos?

How do I find my latest photos? I used to hook up my iPhone as a hard drive and could easily see my most recent iPhone photos. Now when I do that all I see are meaningless file names. You can't tell where your latest photos are for copying without looking at every single file. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the naming scheme (sample attached). I'm hoping some of the Apple experts here can help me unlock what these seemingly random filenames mean and how to predict where your latest photos are located in this mysterious scheme.
