my appletv wont log on to my apple-id

I have just plugged up my appletv and connected to my wi-fi, but for some reason when i try to log on with my apple-id I get a message saying that it either could not find the id or that my password was invalid. I have tried resetting my password, but the same message pops up every time. I have tried to log on in different ways, with home share and so on, but the same message pops up every time. Anyone out there who knows what to do with this?
