suddenly my wireless keyboard stopped working. I tried all of the solutions suggested but nothing worked. I have managed to get to where it is ‘discovered’ and have the passkey but it still won’t pair.
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
What are "all of the solutions?" Without knowing what you have tried, it is impossible to suggest fixes.

Thank you so much for trying to help. It turns out I had already had this problem before, but couldn't remember the solution. Finally realised I had to uncheck the sticky keys in Accessibility. Now all works fine. Don't know why sticky keys gets checked, I presume I hit a few too many keys on my keyboard. 😟
