system error identity manager

I keep getting a "system error - identity manager" when trying to login to TV apps on apple products. My provider is directTV and I'm using the correct username and password. This happens on both my ipad and iphone. Anyone else having this issue and know a solution?

Try a Force Restart on one device to test.

Hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.'

Then try a TV app.
