Flower photography on iPhone 5s -- colors come out wrong

I'm taking flower pictures with the iPhone 5s camera (with iOS 7) and am noticing that many of the colors come out very different from the flower's actual color. Deep, rich blues come out a light purple. And below are two pictures of a deep red Cardinal Climber flower. The first is from the iPhone where the red comes out orange, whereas the second is with my standalone Canon Powershot digital camera where the red comes out correctly. You can see the color mismatch as soon as you look at the subject with the Camera app, even before you snap the photo. Is anyone else having this problem?

I think I had the same issue, all my photos looked like something from the seventies, but just noticed the symbol of three balls in the bottom right corner (held portrait), if they are coloured then there is a filter being applied, touch it to change, if they are grey then there is no filter applied.

Oh, brother -- you just solved a problem that I've been "having" for the entire summer. How did I miss that? Yes, I apparently have had some filter set for the last three months and spent a summer frustrated with my iPhone for doing something that I had inadvertently set myself. Thanks.
