I am writing an article about FCP basics and while re-reading the PDF came across this phraseIf you work with long-GOP formats such as H.264 that cannot be easily edited with good performance,I wondered if users actually are having trouble or poor performance while editing H.264. I've used it natively with FCPX since the beginning and never had any difficulty with it.
