Wacom Tablet/Stylus use on Apple iMac

I want to buy a Wacom tablet/stylus to use on a college lab computer running Adobe Photoshop CC 2015. Will this device start working with Photoshop right away as soon as I plug it into usb port of Apple pc? I cant install drivers / software off a distributionCD on a college owned lab computer.
