I've customized my Safari toolbar with certain selected items. After I select the item and drag it to the toolbar for easy access, they disappear. how to keep items displayed on Safari toolbar?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4)
Might be corrupted Safari preferences ...
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the trash.
Quit Safari if it's open then relaunch to test.

Thanks, this worked. I quit Safari and relaunched, the Safari preferences did not appear on the toolbar. I restarted the iMac, launched Safari and then the preferences appeared.
