iPhone 5 will not turn on

The phone was left charging and was 30% charged but will not come on. I have tried holding the home and power buttons simultanuosly with no effect.

If you can get it in DFU mode by plugging your phone into you computer, make sure its turned off, hold the power button for 3 seconds, then DONT release the power button and hold the home button for 10 seconds, then release the power button but keep holding the home. 15 seconds later itunes should say "iphone in recovery mode" there you can restore. If it doesnt work you can take it to apple...
