Asked for one Software update, got back two of the same

Hi,

I got a notice for an HP printer s/w update. I got back two of the same, both of which are installed. Can anyone tell me how to verify/delete one of them? They are both exactly the same on the outside, and I don't want to keep a possible Trojan or some other malware...

Thanks,

Boris

I would suggest removing the drivers that were installed from HP (provided with the printer or from HPs web site),

however, to remove the drivers installed by Apple, try: ->System Preferences->Printers & Scanners, then highlight the printer and click [-]

(You can also follow the instructions in Step 2 in the link I posted above)

[Note: I'm not sure if Apple will automatically re-install when you reconnect your printer]
