Sep 6, 2015 6:19 AM in response to lfl1987by t0m@s0j1mb0t,Hello,
did you formatted your battery on very first turn on of your mac ? how long time passed between the last charging cycle and the percentage drop ? I have reader that if you use your mac mostly plugged in to the power , you should once per month get the battery completely discharge, and charge it again to keep it in good condition. And if you not using an mac for na longer time you should leave around 50% of battery life and then turn it off and put on some place if you will not use it for longer time.

Do not drain the battery all the way. That will shorten the battery life. Discharge it to about the 40% level and then recharge. Deep discharges are to be avoided.
Ciao.

Sep 6, 2015 9:05 AM in response to lfl1987by John Galt,Read Apps can affect Mac performance, battery runtime, temperature, and fan activity - Apple Support. Identify the apps or processes that are burdening the CPU. You can also use Activity Monitor's Energy tab to identify energy hogs.
After reviewing that document, if you still have reason to believe the battery life is abnormal, schedule a Genius Bar Reservation.

Yes that is a deep discharge and that WILL shorten battery life.
or better is charge it at 30-40% to keep it in good condition,
That is MUCH better for the battery,
Ciao.
