SOLUTION : error -12894 when trying to play certain songs on iPod/iPhone

Plug in your phone into your itunes , delete every song that doesnt allow you to play (skips) or shows an error code(ONLY THOSE SONGS) , then sync it to put the song back. If it still doesnt work keep doing it til it does. This has been the only fix that i found by experimenting. I know it seems like a lot but if your desperate enough and love your music it doesnt hurt to try. Let me know if this works for anyone else.
