Photo sorting

I have now got lots of duplicate photos.


How can I clean tho library of duplicates

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

iPhoto has no tool to search the library for duplicates. You can try to sort the photos by date, so duplicates will be shown side-by-side, or use some third party utilities to find duplicates, for example

Duplicate Annihilator
