macbook 12" not showing 4096x2160 resolution
Hello,
I am working with my MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015) connected to a LG 31MU97 4K monitor with the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter and a HDMI cable.
Unfortunately in the display settings the, 31MU97 was found but the maximum resolution listed is 3840x2160, although the monitor supports 4096x2160.
This apple support page states, that the macbook 12" should support the higher resolution at 24 Hz:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202856
(it says:
4096x2160 at 24 Hz (mirroring is not supported at this resolution)
The MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015) supports the displays and rates listed above when you connect your the display to your Mac using a USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter.)
But the refresh rate is fixed to 30Hz in the settings and no higher resolutions show up even with alt-clicking on "scaled".
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
And can this be fixed or is the apple support page just wrong?
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Simon
