i have MacBook Pro i5, 15-inch Mid 2010 with OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5 and i have iPhone 6 with version 8.4.1 and both i am using my same apple ID.
but problem is my MacBook AirDrop is not working, i try all kind of setup but i am unable to connect it with my iPhone.
please provide the solution.

Your Mac is too old to AirDrop with an iOS device. You would need a 2012 model or later.
Use AirDrop to send files from your Mac to another nearby Mac or iOS device - Apple Support

i believe MacPro who is older then 2008 works with AirDrop. thats what apple says in its website.
