Q: AirDrop Connection Problem

Hello.

i have MacBook Pro i5, 15-inch Mid 2010 with OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5 and i have iPhone 6 with version 8.4.1 and both i am using my same apple ID.

but problem is my MacBook AirDrop is not working, i try all kind of setup but i am unable to connect it with my iPhone.

please provide the solution.

Your Mac is too old to AirDrop with an iOS device. You would need a 2012 model or later.

Use AirDrop to send files from your Mac to another nearby Mac or iOS device - Apple Support

i believe MacPro who is older then 2008 works with AirDrop. thats what apple says in its website.

install BT 4.0 USB based on Broadcom BCM 20702 and Continuity Activation Tool app
it will make AirDrop performance better and will give Continuity/Handoff feature

It works with other Macs, not with mobile devices.
