Error message: Server responded with '400' to operation CalDAVAAccountRefreshQueueOperation. What does this mean and how can I correct it?

I operate an iMac - processor 3.2GHz Intel Core i3 - memory 4GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 - operating system OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5.

When opening Calendar I get an error message: "Server responded with '400' to operation CalDAVAAccountRefreshQueueOperation." I don't know what this means or how to correct it.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

First try a simple fix: back up all data, then delete the calendar account in the Internet Accounts preference pane and add it back. Test. If there's no improvement, restart the computer and try again.
