    Hi,

I tried what you suggested and nothing worked..  I tunes is up to date.  The charge cords work.

I do not know if apple is at fault or Microsoft is the problem.  All I know, is ITunes and windows 7 worked fine with my IPad and I phone 5s.

Thanks for your suggestions.  Microsoft has free help for windows 10 issues.  Apple charges and I am not about to spend money.

I will wait until either or companies address the problem.

I'm not sure if it is working or not yet. First you say charge cords work, does that mean that you can charge the device on the computer? Some individuals have experienced issues with Windows 10 and iTunes. You can take a look at the ASC User tip with suggestions for any issues with iTunes and Windows. See if anything there applies and will help. Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates  Thanks to ASC user turingtest2 for compiling all of this great information.

To be honest, Apple has not indicated on the iTunes page that it supports Windows 10 yet, but then everyone involved (Microsoft & Apple) have both been aware of the updates. Seems Apple may need to do some updating, but normally people have been able to work through it on all that I have read about. I would just keep troubleshooting. Check device manager in Windows for information about the iPhone and make sure all drivers have loaded and Apple Mobile Device Service is running. The document I provided you will also provide info about removing and reinstalling iTunes. That might be an attempt to try as well.

I Contacted microsoft who told me it was an Apple issue.  I contacted Apple who told me to uninstall and reinstall iTunes.

i Have tried most of the suggestions and nothing seems to work.

When new updates are issued there are occasional glitches that are eventually resolved.

I guess I will wait for Microsoft/Applea to fix the problem, or I can revert back to Window 7.

I still believe you should be able to make it work with one of the suggestions in the last link I sent you from turingtest2. Try removing iTunes using the instructions from Apple to ensure correct removal, then make sure your anti-virus software is temporarily disabled and reinstall. Then connect the iPhone and the drivers should reinstall and it very well might work.

    Good morning,

Microsoft technical followed the recommendations posted in your replies. Uninstalled ITunes and all of it's remnants.  Then reinstalled ITunes.  Still no cigar.

Tier two of Microsoft will follow-up on the ITunes issue.

All apple suggested was to uninstall and install ITunes which did not work.

I also found out that Windows 10 does not work well with Picasa.

I appreciate your suggestions.  If tier 2 cannot come up with a solution, I will have Microsoft revert back to Windows 7.

ITunes and Picasa worked with Windows 7.

I should have followed to the old adage, "if it ain't broken, don't fix it."

Has iTunes successfully installed? If not what error message do you get when you try? Otherwise if you have connectivity issues with your devices what anti-virus/firewall packages do you have installed?

I Have not been able to connect to iTunes with my iPad or iPhone Using windows 10.

when I connect the devices to my laptop with the appropriate Apple cable, iTunes does not recognize the devices. I do not receive any messages from iTunes.

IF I try to connect using Google Picasa, a message pops up stating not enough room.

if I attach both devices to my wife's window 7 desktop, iTunes and Picasa work perfectly.

I am not a fan of windows 10 and will have microsoft revert back to windows 7 before the 30 days are up.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

I've seen a fair number of threads where Norton has been causing a problem for iPod classic owners. It is possible that in some cases it also interferes with iOS devices. I would temporarily disable Norton, reboot, then see if iTunes will connect to the iPad properly. Assuming it does then it may be possible to whitelist iTunes in Norton to stop it from causing a problem. Either that or get rid of Norton.

I'm having the same issues. Windows recognizes when I plug in the iPad 4 (iPhone 6) and I get the trust prompt from my both. Drivers are current and also shows in  Device Manager. iTunes is the only piece in this puzzle that does not recognize when I have either one plugged in.

Make sure that you have installed the latest version of iTunes as well. The notes state this is supposed to address issues between iTunes and Windows 10. The latest version is 12.3.0.44 for 64-bit Windows.
