IPhone 6 crackle on AirPlay audio

HI


when I play any music over AirPlay from my iPhone 6+ to my Sony Amp, the sound is crackly, with pops and LP style noises. If I swap the connection over to Bluetooth, the sound is perfect. Same source (Apple Music or Tidal) and same hardware.


My wireless network is fine, shows no local interference and has masses of bandwidth.


running iOS 9 public beta, but the iPad is running the latest iOS 8, and gives exactly the same issue.


anyone got any ideas or fixes?
