X11 has an update - I download it and I get a message that it is extracting.....and there it stays.

How do I proceed and get the update installed? - I am currently running 2.7.5 (server 1.14.4)

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

I suspect you were looking for an X Window Server forum, and not the Xserve hardware forum; discussions of an old rack-mount Apple server box.

X11 was available via XQuartz, and X was no longer available from Apple.

If not Xquartz, what did you download, and from where did you acquire it?

If it was Xquartz, have you tried re-downloading it?
