I am trying to set up my new airport time capsule and i cannot find out the settings required

The ISP needs to give you the details.


If you have a locked modem router which is supplied to you preconfigured by your ISP, then you have no choice.. either the ISP is prepared to allow you to use your own equipment or you are going to need to keep using the ISP modem router.


Simply use the TC in bridge mode.. this is standard throughout the world.. for many people pppoe is not even reliable on a TC.. I have this problem.. I am forced to bridge the TC or any apple router for that matter and use a different brand router in front of it.. any brand actually works fine.. only the Apple routers were unreliable.


So WAN TC to LAN of existing modem router..


Run through the setup wizard in the airport utility and select bridge in network.. dhcp instead of pppoe on the internet tab.
