Support for Asus PA328Q monitor on Mac Pro (late 2013)

Has anyone successfully used the Asus PA328Q 32" UHD monitor with the Mac Pro (late2013)?

If so, how well does it work when connected with Display Port 1.2? Did you have any setup or configuration issues?

Thanks in Advance for any information on this combination.

I bought this monitor month ago.

It works perfectly with nMP by Display Port 1.2 - 3840x2160 at 60 hz.

But you need turn it on in display menu (see monitor manual) - by default PA328Q uses DP 1.1

I had some problems with the configuration.

- For a start, the monitor did not want to work with the native cable DP-miniDP at full resolution. I had to buy MONOPRICE cable. This problem does not occur at all - I just got lucky. :-))

- If you turn off the monitor by power button, then after dispaly is on - OS X resets the size of windows opened in Safari, illustrator, Photoshop. It looks like a stack of windiws (resized to 800x600 px) in top left corner of desktop. Solution - send the monitor to sleep in the OSX.

good luck. :-)

I bought an PA328q recently too. But I'm having a real hard time getting it to work reliably with my Mac Pro. I have to continually restart the computer multiple times and switch between DisplayPort and HDMI before the monitor finally detects an input. I thought the problem might be the monitor so I got a replacement. Same thing happens on the new one. And I've only gotten it to work at 60hz twice on display port (yes, it's set to DisplayPort 1.2). Its been a frustrating bummer. I'm out of ideas and considering returning it.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I bought the asus PB279 and am using display port mini. When my computer puts the display to sleep I too cannot get my monitor to wake back up. I have to power down the machine by holding it down. Even plugging in keyboards and mice into the computer will not wake it.

I have a late 2013 Mac Pro. With the d300 graphics card. I really wish this could get fixed....
