Will a 4k 27 inch monitor work with my early 2009 MacPro

I have a 24 inch Dell monitor which has worked well but I'd like to move up to a 27 inch monitor.

I haven't looked into buying a monitor for quite some time and I'm not up to speed on all of the new stuff that's out there.

I'm wondering if I would be able to run one of the 4k , 27inch monitors with my MacPro.

I am using a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2048 MB graphics card.

I've noticed also that some of the newer monitors do not have a DVI display port only the newer Display Ports so I guess that eliminates those.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
