After more than a year of normal use, the right-click function of my wife's iMac 'magic mouse' stopped working. The Preferences settings have not changed and appear to be correct. Everything else is working normally, as is my own iMac and Mouse. Any advice appreciated, thanks. Patrick M.

Try disabling the right hand mouse click in preferences, restart the iMac, then enable right hand mouse click.

Great advise from Sparkleberry, if that does not work try a different Mouse.
Additionally if you have extended Apple Care coverage on that Mac, then your original mouse should also be covered.
Mouse right-click has stopped working.
