JJust bought a new iPod-6. Sadly, Apple did not enable it for Apple Pay. Wondering if it will work with the watch, since it has both wifi and Bluetooth.

No - you need an iPhone 5 or later to pair and use with Apple Watch.

Nope. for Apple Pay with an Apple Watch, you need an iPhone 5, 5C,5S, 6 or 6+.
For the rest of the features of the Apple Watch, you need the Apple Watch App which also is not available on the iPod Touch.
TThanks for the quick resonses folks. I'm still very happy with my new iPod. I do think that Apple missed opportunities here with Apple Pay and the Apple Watch.
