what do I need for my mac mini

Buying a mac mini today. I have only owned a PC. Do I buy software for the Mac mini? Will I have word, excel, etc on my mac mini or do I buy software? Please advise me on this. I am lost. It is recommending I buy Microsoft Office 365 Personal (1 Mac or PC + 1 iPad or Select Windows Tablet) (1 Year Subscription) - Mac|Windows. Thank you

I recommend that you check out LibreOffice and see if satisfies your needs. It is free whereas Microsoft is not.
