Can my iPhone be hacked through safari?

Recently I was scrolling through the RVB YouTube comments section, I accidentally clicked on a link that was in one of the comments in a discussion I was opening. And it brought me to a page that was just a pop up, the Pop up accused me of watching child **** and some other messed up stuff I didn't read. I was really afraid because it knew my OS and where I was. It then asked me for money, then I quickly left the browser and tried to reset safari. But I couldn't do much except clear the website data. The page was gone but the fact that it knew where I was makes me afraid. Should I be worried?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.4, null

No need to be worried at all since you did not physically entered any data. You may have done this already but just to be sure, close Safari completely from the multitasking window by double clicking the Home button and swiping up the Safari preview pane up until it disappears from the screen. You may have to look for the Safari pane by swiping side to side as there may be other panes there from other apps. Then go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Then do a forced restart. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time for about 15-20 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it comes up. You will not lose anything and no trace of that site should be on your phone.
