Q: New MacPro, power management.
Hello everybody,
I recently bought the 2015 13 inch model of the Retina Macbook Pro. As it is brand new and I want to take the utmost care of it in the future and mainly of the battery life , I would like to ask a question: What is better when working, surfing or playing on mac for a longer time - to have the battery fully charged and the MagSafe adapter connected most of the time, or to repeatedly run down the battery and recharge it again and thus to use it in cycles. Thank you for your ideas and answers.
Best regards.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

If you choose to keep the MBP connected to AC all the time, at least once per month Use the MBP under battery power to about the 40% charge level before recharging. Lithium Ion batteries need periodic 'exercise' for maximum battery life.
Deep discharges or draining the battery will shorten the battery life.
