Hello! I'm having some troubles with my old Power Mac G5. I'm trying to restore a DMG file to my USB drive, but I keep getting the same error, saying Restore Failure- Lost connection to helper tool. Anyone know how to fix this?
Is the USB drive AC or Bus powered?
Bus powered. Its just an 8 GB stick.
I don't exactly remember, and I'm not at currently in a situation to check it. I would check if I could, but I can remember that it was the one used to boot PowerPC machines.
USB sticks can go bad.
I was using it beforehand to transfer music... I used it literally moments before. I don't know if it could have gone bad that fast, but I could test it some more, if you want.
A good test would be on another computer.
