Sep 6, 2015 10:02 AM in response to OGELTHORPEby SenatorSpam,Well actually now I'm not even getting the Kernel warnings. It's "sudden restart, restart again, normal." It happens as I'm playing Warcraft.
Also, would this apply to me? http://www.macworld.co.uk/news/mac/widespread-2011-macbook-pro-failures-petition -lawsuit-repair-programme-3497935/
2012, 15 inch. Had Logic Board replaced before. Often gets to high temperatures (and now it's getting hot quicker).

Sep 6, 2015 10:23 AM in response to SenatorSpamby OGELTHORPE,This is the GPU replacement program:
https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/
Note that a 2012 non-retina MBP is NOT listed as a possible candidate for a logic board replacement.
I think that your best option is to make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation. They have a special test for the GPU and I would request that they run that as well. I also would query if your MBPmis indeed excluded from the program.
To pursue anther avenue, you could install a temperature/fan speed monitoring application. The open Activity Monitor to ALL PROCESSES and set CPU to display values from low to high. When the MBP gets hot, post images of both for inspection.
Reset the SMC and NVRAM:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063
See if there are any changes for the better.
Also run an Apple hardware Test:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201257
Note that an error free AHT is not definitive.
Ciao.

Sep 6, 2015 10:52 AM in response to OGELTHORPEby SenatorSpam,Thanks for all the help so far. Just wanna let you know I did the SMC and NVRAM resets so far. I already have the smcFanControl add-on and nothing but WoW gets hot before the restart. My laptop reaches like 55-60C while gaming and 35-40C while just on the Apple forums. I'm also @ college in a different state w/out a car so getting to the Apple Store would be harder. Before I left, the Apple store gave me a free charger because my current one was a little frayed and they cleaned my laptop, all free of charge. But that's Oakbrook Chicago and they have tons of customers. What do you think I'd have to pay, if I had to, at an Albuquerque store? Don't wanna disappoint my parents so soon after my warranty expired.
Edit: We've had Macs/Apple's in our family forever. At least 4 desktop computers I can remember. Currently 2 IPads. I got my MBP 4 years ago. Sis just got hers. This laptop and it's Logic Board has been 1 of our only issues. :C

Sep 6, 2015 11:02 AM in response to SenatorSpamby OGELTHORPE,The temperatures that you are reporting are normal for the activities you mention and do not warrant any concern. Evaluations at an Apple store genius bar are always FREE, regardless of location. Repairs are not free. Have them run the tests on the GPU and see what they have to say.
A free replacement charger was a nice gesture.
Ciao.

Sep 6, 2015 9:34 PM in response to OGELTHORPEby SenatorSpam,Idk if my problem is totally fixed. Like I said it went from Kernel warnings to just shutting off.
BUT
After I did the SMC + NVRAM resets I don't think my laptop has shut off yet. I've been super gentle w/ it and not letting it go over 60C though. So hopefully it was just a fluke. Thanks for the help
