Q: Ipod 6th gen keeps deleting calendar events

My new Ipod 6th Gen keeps deleting calendar events I'm creating, meaning I can't make any events in my calendar. It's happy to make an event, but it then immediately disappears for my calendar. I've tried changing the settings as to which calendars it displays, but it doesn't make a difference. I really need to use this function so I can keep track of my Lecture timetable, please help...

Additional info: it did freeze the other day in a black screen state that prevented me from charging it. After 40 minutes of trying to restart it, it eventually fixed and has been fine (other than the calendar revelation) ever since.

iPod touch, iOS 8.4.1

What happens when you go to icloud.com on a computer browser and sign in and add an event? Does it sata there and also sync to your iPod?

    Try:

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Thanks, it kind of worked by resetting my settings so I'm going to see how it goes.
