Word for Mac under Yosemite.
1. When I open "file" the programm opens "documents" and not "word documents".
2. The size of that opened windows is always very small, bad overview, even when I had enlarged it before.
What is to be done? Thanks!

Both of those settings are controlled by Word.
In the Preferences, you can set up the default locations for various things in the File Locations tab.
When I resize the Open file dialog, it stays the same as the last time I opened it.
The only thing I can think of is the preferences file (plist) is corrupt and not saving the settings. They appear to be in each individual app plist file.
You can reset the Word plist to defaults and test. Move the com.microsoft.word.plist to your desktop so you can move it back if it doesn't help. The file is ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.word.plist
If your Library does not show in your Home folder, hold down the Option key (labeled alt on non-US keyboards) and select Library from the Go menu.
Note that this will reset all of your Word preferences to their defaults. That is why I suggested moving it as opposed to deleting it.

The window with "word documents" must be enlarged furthermome by pressing the "green button" or with the mouse. There is no remembrence of the previous size. This a very untypical behaviour of a window. Do you have any idea?
Sorry, no. I don't know where else they store the window size settings.
Does it happen in another user account? If you can determine that, it would help to identify whether it is a system-wide problem or specific to your user account.
I don't know exactly where to go from there, though.
Are you using any open file modifications like Default Folder?
It must be a sytemwide problem because I could show the problem to the Apple peopel in their store on their computers. They had been helpless and advised me to ask "the internet".
Neither of your issues manifest itself for me.
I can change the size of the window and it sticks.
I can set the File Locations preference and Open File goes to that folder.
I am using Office 2011, so it may be different in another version.
Many thanks for your efforts. It's probably a problem with the German version, the employee of our german speaking hotlinie had the same problem as I have. (Office 2011 and Yosemite, both in the latest version). I'm pretty sure, that the fault occred after changing to Yosemite. So I'll wait for "the captain".
