bugs all the time with "Photo"

How I miss iPhoto. I wanted to import to "Photos" hundreds pictures we did in Vienna and Pragua, Photos crashs all the time, and sometimes the whole Mac crashes also. Sometimes, I just want to select some pictures, sometimes I just want to resize one, sometimes I just delete one!!! Very basic things occurs crashes!! Even opening an album occurred a crash!! Since yesterday, I sent other 30 crash reports!!!

I use an external hard disk with a format compatible with Windows. This external hard disk worked very well with iPhoto. No crash, no problem. So what happens? I thought that the simplification offered by Photos would be interresting but the software is just not usable.
My Mac includes a 2,4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, with 3Go RAM. (bought in 2008). I tried to repair the external HD, non problem : anyway, this HD is used with other softwares without any problem.

Would someone have an idea?

SO it is not a bug but user error -- the photos library can only be on a drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (same is true for iPhoto - if iPhoto was working you were simply lucky and sooner or later it would have quit working - it probably has already corrupted your library having it on an incorrectly formatted drive

Here is the Apple support article on this (it applies to all PC formats) - iPhoto: Issues with FAT32-formatted drives - Apple Support
