Q: I have an airport time capsule that has stopped working - the network is not seen by the airport utility.

I tried a hard reset and factory reset and get an unexpected error message in the airport utility. Our xfinity cable modem is working. I have Yosemite on both Macbook Pros. Is there a known issue? I cannot get this to work at all after a few years of using the airport time capsule. I have tried everything and am about to go back to my Xfinity modem for wi-fi. This is frustrating given the investment we made in the time capsule for improved wi-fi and backup. I can't even backup anymore. It is useless.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2008), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Shut down the MacBook Pro, wait a few minutes, and then power it back up to see if the setup utility is working correctly now.

If not, we'll have to try changing some settings on your Mac, since Yosemite "bugs" are causing the issue that you see.
