Q: Help with Apple iBook

Hi I live in the UK and have an Apple ID in the UK Region. My son lIves in the U.S. and wants to purchase a book for school. The book is called Sold by Patricia McCormick. only thing is I can't use my card on his U.S. Account as the zip billing etc. is there a way to use a UK card on a U.S. Region? Or I was just wondering if I Buy it in the UK iBooks can he still use my Apple ID and download it onto his iBooks even though his region is US? Urgent responses please! He needs it asap

 

i cant just send the money btw! And apparently gifting it would only work in UK store

    You have to be in the US to use the US store, and you will need a US billing address on your account - you can't use a UK bank issued card with a US account, it has to have been issued by a US bank (and be registered to the same name and address as on the iTunes account). And if you buy it here in the UK from the UK store he will have to be here in the UK, with a UK account and billing address, to download it. He will have to buy the book himself

     

    (And you are correct about gifting, that also can't be done between different countries.)
