Q: virus warning cannot use

Safari loads mac-onlinehelp.info which says virus warning and prevents me from accessing any history or dropdowns to get rid of it. What can I do to remove this. I am running Mavericks and thought about upgrading to Yosemite but am afraid this will still be present because it will remain in history and will reload with Yosemite just like it does in Mavericks. Out of ideas HELP

Choose Force Quit from the Apple menu, close Safari, and then launch it with the Shift key held down. If the message reappears, disconnect the computer from the Internet for long enough to erase that site from the browser history.
