Display for Mac mini

here is a photo of DVI connector for an apple Cinema Display (2004). I would like to use this display with a yet to be purchased Mac mini. Will the apple mini to DVI adapter work for this?? will I need to purchase a different display (monitor)?? Any helpful advice is appreciated. Thanks.
