Can you give us more information? Did you allow iTunes match scan your iTunes library on your computer?

I only accessed it through iPhone. So I never authorized a scan of
my Mac. There were no instructions included in the process. I just purchased
match and thought it would help w my Sonos issues.

This is the support document for iTunes match Subscribe to iTunes Match - Apple Support
Note : "When you subscribe to iTunes Match from an iOS device, your local songs (songs that live on your device) will not be matched or uploaded to your iCloud Music Library. Sign in with your Apple ID on a computer to match and upload your local music library."
You will need let iTunes match scan your computers library.
