Cant open links in yahoo. Have switched my iPad 2 off also closed yahoo. Even deleted from iPad and reinstalled no joy . Frustrated OAP

Wish it could be sorted. I have to use my phone for my emails .
What version of iOS is your iPad running? Do you have the latest version of the Yahoo app? Did you try quitting the Yahoo app and a reset of your iPad?
To quit the Yahoo app, double click the Home button to reveal the app switcher. Flick up on the page preview of the Yahoo app. The page preview will fly away and disappear. That quits the app.
Then reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
