Can't copy podcast from windows itunes to iphone

Using iTunes 12.2.2.25 with an iPhone 6+. I've pushed every button on iTunes and cannot figure out how to copy (not sync) my podcasts from my laptop running iTunes to my iPhone. I only sync my iPhone with my DESKTOP running windows 7. I don't want to sync with 2 computers. Can I COPY my podcasts from my lap top (which I travel with) to my iPhone or is this not possible. I should say I have hated iTunes for years as the most user unfriendly piece of trash I have ever used. I am a computer programmer with 35 years experience. If there is a better solution, I'm all ears.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4.1, Windows 7

You can only Sync with one iTunes Library. You cannot then add media from another iTunes Library. (This is a basic copyright protection feature).

The Sync procedure copies media from your Library to your device, so I'm not sure why you think that a Sync doesn't copy.

Sync - synchronise (synchronize for the USA), to make the same. In other words, copy changes to the Library onto the device and copy changes made on the device to the Library.

Download the Podcasts into your desktop's Library and Sync the phone with that Library, as you do now.
Put your music onto your laptop and then Sync that Library instead (with both music and Podcasts) to your device.
Use the Wi-Fi on the phone to download the Podcasts directly onto the phone.
