Sep 7, 2015 8:55 AM in response to hsanayrby Loner T,Please check if this update - About the security content of Mac EFI Security Update 2015-001 - Apple Support - has been applied to your Mac. See the part about Rowhammer and EFI refreshes.
This may not be the only issue, there may be others as well.

Sep 7, 2015 10:15 AM in response to Loner Tby hsanayr,Thanks for the reply. It does not appear that that particular Security Update has been applied. I looked in Sys Info>Software>Installations, but only saw two Security Updates Marked "Security Update 2015-002" & "Security Update 2015-004". I believe I installed all security updates in the previous OS X ver. 10.9 before updating. Is there another place to check to see if the Security Updates have been applied?

Sep 7, 2015 10:23 AM in response to hsanayrby Loner T,The link points to 2015-001, which you should have been cumulative. Do you recall when you started noticed slowdown, and check it against the date for 2015-002?

Sep 7, 2015 10:47 AM in response to Loner Tby hsanayr,The date of 2015-002 doesn't correlate to the slow down. The only thing that correlates is updating to OS X 10.10. I did that about two weeks ago and it was then I noticed Win7 getting slow.

Sep 7, 2015 11:04 AM in response to hsanayrby Loner T,What was the original OS X version you upgraded from? You may be able to roll back to it, but you will not be able to undo EFI updates.

Sep 7, 2015 11:30 AM in response to Loner Tby hsanayr,Came from OS X 10.9. Should I try reinstalling Win7 on Boot Camp first before reverting?

Sep 9, 2015 12:33 PM in response to Loner Tby hsanayr,Well a fresh install of Win7 didn't help. At this point I'm going to try a VM and see how it goes before reverting.

Sep 9, 2015 7:40 PM in response to hsanayrby Loner T,On my production-critical machine, I am still running Mavericks, which was the original OS for my Mac. On a non-critical machine, I am using Yosemite and ELC. I am not a big fan of Yosemite or later versions. I have kept most of my older versions running on older hardware with what they originally came with.
